FEA in product design structural analysis driving the part/assembly design of vital components 
Some components just need to have FEA involved, infact FEA completely drives this design and these parts would be far inferior without it. The main task here was to optimise the design, since the loads and duty cycles were well known. This meant huge economic savings for the company with respect to material cost and design lead times (signifacntly shortened) and of course the design was prooved to be well up to the task in hand. Reduced cost, reduced risk, shortned lead times to market = more confidence, better economics.
