Kinematics & Motion
Kinematics & motion, when more detail or mechanical anlaysis is required
Kinematics deals with how bodies in free space move relative to one another, or in engineering we control how mechanisms move. This is crucial to evaluate product design and function, so that specific design criteria can be met and ultimately the end use is well understood. This particaulr animation was worked out from analysing the maximum potential rotations allowed by an artifical hip. The aim being to both provide FEA support of maximum permissible loads (simulating various applications/uses) and geometric constraints, but also help in understanding the risk of joint dislocation whilst in use.
