Sheet metal design can be stylish or industrial 
Such a useful process because of the type of sheet material that can be used (aluminimum & steel, both in different grades or types), how it can be formed, fabricated (mechanical fixation such as screws, rivets, bolts or welded) and reasoanable tolerances. Thin sheet is known as foil and anything greather than 6mm is known as plate. Main ways of forming include drawn, cut, perforated, spun (axis symmetric (cylinder) formation), bent by rollers or press brake, rolled and stamped. Such flexibility means that aesthetically pleasing products through to more industrial products can be catered for. FEA assists with potential bending & residual stress in the product design.
