3D Surface Design

3D surface design adding sculpture & complexity
To get that final killer or natural look, surfacing (surface design) is sometimes required to produce the best organic shapes, adding value to your product. Some parts are modelled straight from the off in surfaces rather than solids. Creating freeform surfaces that just have to look good isn't usually a problem, creating surfaces which have to follow some engineering rules (such as maintaining a volumetric definition, holding tangencies at specific locations etc.) can become complex. Therefore we'll always advise the cllient of the pros and cons of the design to be realised. Ultimately, if any project is to move to production, everything needs to be made, the more complex the part is, the more complex and expensive the tools for manufacture usually are.
