Product design - how we go through the design process 
A great example of how the design process works. This case study will guide you through all the steps required to take an idea through to manufacturing. Many products don't make it out of the concept or prototype phase. Mostly becasue it is discovered that the product will be non commercial (due to multiple reasons), the risk is too large, or the commitment to move through to production doesn't exist. Even though some product ideas can be fleshed out with a risk asessment early on, clarity doesn't usually come until concepts are produced.
